AWARDS & BURSARIES

To recognise incredible work, research and collaboration in our dynamic field, a number of awards and bursaries were available before and during the ESOT Congress.

 

AWARDS

 ESOT Leonardo Da Vinci Transplant Research Innovation Award

The Leonardo Da Vinci Transplant Research Innovation Award is the most prestigious scientific award at the ESOT Congress, stimulating an unprecedented and innovative approach to research. There are two winners of this award; one for clinical research and one for basic or translational science.

ESOT would like to congratulate Marc Raynaud for winning the clinical science award and Nicola de Stefano for picking up the basic science prize! Both prizes were presented during the final closing plenary session.

Stronger Together PRO Award

The Stronger Together PRO Award was presented to the group of abstracts submitted by a single organisation with the best average score (minimum of five abstracts submitted by the institution). ESOT would like to congratulate the Transplant Research Group in Paris, France for winning the Stronger Together PRO Award for 2021!

ESOT-SITO Award

The best three abstracts submitted by young professionals (under 35 years old) from an Italian institution were granted free registration to the congress.
Submitters had to be an active member of SITO (with a good standing of membership upon the abstract submission deadline) to be eligible.

Abstract authors must make a request to be submitted for this award during their submission process.

BURSARIES

ESOT Full Bursary

Twenty grants will be given to young clinicians or scientists (under 35 years old), who have submitted the best twenty abstracts to the congress.

Recipients received free registration to the congress, a 500 EUR travel grant and an ESOT membership for 2022.

Abstract authors must make a request to be submitted for this bursary during their submission process.

ESOT Registration Bursary

In addition to the ESOT Full Bursary, another twenty grants will be given to young clinicians or scientists (under 35 years old), who have submitted the next best twenty abstracts to the congress.

Recipients received free registration to the congress, as well as an ESOT membership for 2022.

Abstract authors must make a request to be submitted for this bursary during their submission process.
